An appointment with Dr. Shallcross consists of a single visit with clinical interview and testing for the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD. The testing measures working memory, immediate auditory attention, vigilance, impulsivity, speed for visual search, and mental flexibility.
Accurate diagnosis is essential to appropriate and effective medication management and treatment. Therefore, in addition to ADHD testing, one or two personality assessment instruments will be completed by the patient to screen for any co-existing mood/psychiatric disorder (ages 9-adult).
Results of testing will be communicated to the patient and on request to the referring provider(s). Referral(s) for medication management and/or therapy are available if needed.
